I am a co-founder and a moderator of The GIS
Forum. I have been actively involved in GIS for over 3 years
now. I graduated in the spring of 2009 from Central Piedmont Community College in Geospatial Technology. I am continuing my educational studies at East Carolina University. I am also working towards my GIS Professional Certification.
I am a Planning Project Manager for a public school system. GIS is
my main focus there. My job is a great learning environment as I am
always looking for ways to utilize GIS in school planning. Some of my responsibilities include real estate analysis, student
forecasting, report generation and map production.
I have earned my Spatial Technology and Remote Sensing (STARS) certification from Digital Quest while competing in the SkillsUSA Geospatial Technology National Competition. I have been recognized regionally by ESRI (Environmental Systems
Research Institute) for earning the "Best Analytical Map" presentation
at the 2007 Southeast Regional User Group Conference. I just completed a term as the Chairman of the Charlotte Metropolitan GIS User Group.
